Building strength, confidence, and character on and off the mat. We provide young athletes with a supportive foundation to learn the sport, challenge themselves, and succeed. No prior experience required.
Gold Beach Youth Wrestling is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to introducing the youth of our community to the incredible sport of wrestling. Our mission is a positive, safe, and empowering environment where young athletes can learn, grow, and challenge themselves.
Wrestling teaches more than athletic skill — it forges character. Through dedicated coaching and a focus on sportsmanship, we instill discipline, confidence, and respect in every child who steps on our mats. The goal is simple: get as many kids involved as possible and show them the lifelong benefits of this sport.
Commitment, focus, and the work it takes to reach a goal.
Self-belief earned by overcoming challenges and competing.
For coaches, teammates, opponents, and the sport itself.
You do not need a wrestling background to raise a wrestler. We welcome all skill levels, from first-timers to experienced competitors. Here is everything the first season asks of you.
Please note: unlike last season, families are responsible for acquiring or renewing their wrestler's USA Wrestling card. Club dues are $50 per wrestler.
One entry per wrestler. The $50 club fee is collected at your first practice. Paper sign-up sheets are also available at practice.

Come a few minutes early the first night so your wrestler can meet the coaches and team.
The tradition of wrestling in Gold Beach runs deep, and our club is proud to carry that torch. Head coach Travis Moore is a product of that history — he grew up wrestling right here with the Gold Beach Mat Club, where he learned the value of hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. Together this staff brings passion, experience, and a deep commitment to developing not just skilled wrestlers, but confident, disciplined young people.

Technique and conditioning, on the mat every practice night.
Dedication and expertise that have been invaluable to the program.

Year one put 13 tournaments and 121 medals on the board. Year two means more wrestlers, more entry fees, and more Saturdays on the road — and that is where our sponsors come in.
Sponsorship covers equipment, tournament entries, and travel, and keeps dues at $50 so cost never keeps a kid off the mat. Businesses and families are both welcome — every tier is recognized on team apparel, our tournament banner, and here on the site.
